Malda Railway Divison ensure the passengers for Drinking Cold Water for relief hot weather.

The temperature is nearby 40° and heat waves is also since first week of April in Malda district as under the heater . As a result the Railway passengers are facing problem during they are travelling. They need cold drinking water for relief to rail travellers during hot and sultry conditions Finally Malda Division is taking proactive steps to ensure the availability of drinking water for passengers at all stations within its jurisdiction. With the approach of the summer season and the potential for heatwaves, Malda Division is intensifying its efforts to review and enhance the supply of potable water.

To bolster these efforts, on Saturday at Malda Town railway station a campaign was organised by scouts and guides team for providing drinking water to quench the thirst of thousands of passengers travelling daily from/via Malda Town Station.The railway scouts and guides team distributed cold water among the passengers of general coaches at platform no 01 of Malda Town Railway Station. Railway officials were also present during this campaign for guide and encourage the scout team.
This campaign came as a relief to rail travellers during hot and sultry conditions. Similar campaigns will be conducted at other stations as well.

Furthermore, all existing water coolers, booths, and taps are undergoing thorough inspection to ensure functionality. Additional water facilities will be installed on platforms, including new water coolers, to address any water scarcity issues. Railway staff will monitor water availability round-the-clock to promptly address any emerging concerns.
